After lunch the real fun beings. Every weekday afternoon students have their choice of two organized activities, such as swimming in one of Berlin's many lakes or rowing in Tiergarten Park. Students will also have a change to see the area around Berlin as well. Every Saturday there is an organized full-day excursion. Accommodations - Homestay with a German Family
Host family accommodation near the school are also available for students should the desire alternate living arrangements.
Generally every student who has booked acco
mmodation with a host family should keep in mind that this form of accommodation differs much from a hotel or bed and breakfast. For a short while, students and host families live together as almost one family which demands consideration on both sides. Don't forget that the everyday life of the family goes on while you are there!
Housing in Germany can differ. Some families have their own house with a garden, whereas some live in flats right in the center of the city. The guest-rooms may have double, or single beds. Normally there is only one bathroom which is shared; towels and bed linen are provided by the family.
Accommodations - Residence
Students live in renovated and spacious Villa which has 3 to 4 beds per room. Double rooms are available at extra cost. There are several showers and WC in each hall, and every room has a wash basin. The villa has its own kitchen where the cook prepares the three daily meals. Laundry is done by the school staff. This ensures that students are completely taken care of, and allows them to focus on their studies and enjoy Germany.
The language instructors live in the villa with the students, and are always available to help answer questions. The villa has a party room, a projects room (for staging plays or making a newspaper), a basketball court, and a barbecue in the garden

Berlin, Germany - City Info
Berlin is a fascinating metropolis in the heart of Europe. Berlin is now, more than before, a remarkable city. Decades of division following World War II and Berlin's special status as Allied-occupied territory have left their enduring mark on the city's life. Circumstances have radically changed since November 9, 1989 and Berlin has moved to the forefront of the international scene. The dismantling of the Wall and the opening of borders have made Berlin today one of Europe's most lively and interesting cities.
Grand palaces, incomparable art museums like the Pergamon and the Bauhaus, innumerable restaurants, a vast and varied music scene and nightlife all make Berlin a unique destination for learning the German language.
