WSLAC participants stay in homestay. Special care is taken when selecting the homestay hosts. Each host is only accepted after passing a review by the local housing coordinator, and making a commitment to provide a welcoming home for our participants.
Homestay provides students with an opportunity to use the language in real-life situations. In Canada, it is usual that both the homestay hostess and host work outside of the home during the day. Students are responsible for going to school and returning after activities to homestay by themselves.
