Program Features
- 4 levels from beginner to intermediate
- 2, 3 or more weeks up to a maximum of 8 weeks instruction in French.
- First day evaluation and orientation
- 3 hours of French in small groups of a maximum 15 students per class. Each course hour is 55 minutes.
- 3 hours of activities including supervised lunch (see below for details).
- Free internet and e-mail access.
- Homestay accommodation in single room and 3 meals daily (packed lunches Monday to Friday)
- Transportation to and from school and activities via Montreal transit System
- Textbooks and material
- Arrival and departure transfer
- Medical insurance to a maximum of $10,000 Canadian
- NRCSA Emergency insurance (during dates in the foreign country)
Features Not Included
- Laundry
- Regional tours, weekend activities or excursions
- Pocket money ($75 - $150 CA)
Students enrolled in WSLAC who are above intermediate level, or who are viewed as too mature, may be admitted to the Standard Group program with the permission of the Registrar and Director of Studies. Under such circumstances, students do not receive the supervised lunch and activities package but receive a rebate of $25/wk Canadian directly from the Center.
- On weekends, WSLAC students may join the optional Montreal Activity program at extra expense. This is only available for activities where the student meets the minimum age requirement.
| Tentative Daily Schedule |
Class are held in the afternoon with activities and excursions in the mornings. The full day is from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
First Monday: Orientation, language placement tests, weekly plans and expectations, issue of student ID cards, issue of metro pass, walking tour (banks, post office, pharmacies), Place des Arts, street concerts, exhibits, Old Montreal.
Summer Program:

Winter Program:
09:30 to 13:00 Meet at School and Go on Activities
