Homestays
All host families are carefully selected and provide each student they host with a full range of accommodation services. These services including three meals per day and Laundry. Students with dietary restrictions or any other special needs are requested to make these known in advance. The majority of host families live in flats, almost all with balconies and some with terraces, and most have teenage children. Lunch is normally eaten at about 14.00(2:00PM), and dinner at about 20.30-21.00(8:30-9:00PM).
Some of the host families live within walking distance of the school. However, in many cases it will be necessary for the students to take a bus from their family to the school. A 30-day student bus pass, which allows four journeys per day, is included in the course fee.
Students must comply with a curfew of 23.30(11:30PM) from Sunday to Thursday, and 01:30 on Friday and Saturday.
Student Residence
The student residence is located in the city centre, less than 15 minutes walk from the school. The residence, which provides accommodation throughout the academic year to students from the University of Tarragona, was opened in 1998 and is very well maintained.
Students will stay in a spacious double or triple room with sheets and towels provided. Rooms with private bathrooms are also available for group leaders. The bedrooms are equipped with wardrobes, writing desks and chairs, desk lamps, bookcases and mirrors. Accommodation includes all meals.
Facilities that are available free to students include a TV lounge, a computer room, separate study rooms, and a gymnasium. Washing machines are also available for a small charge. Students are provided with a key to their room only. There is a 24-hour reception service.
