About The Program

Working At A Computer
The Spanish conversation and discussion techniques used is class are based on real life situations, helping the student to develop thier skills in the areas of oral comprehension, idiomatic usage, and fluency. The materials used in the courses are comprised of recognized publications for foreign language learning with the supplementary audio/visual system and supplementary material prepared by the school's skilled staff.

Classes are on weekdays in the mornings (total of 15 hours per week). There are 2 levels: Beginner and Intermediate. A placement exam is given at the start of the course. There is a maximum of 11 students per group, with an average of 5 - 8. An Attendance Diploma is given after a final examination.

Modern teaching methods and equipment are accompanied by skilled and friendly teachers and administrative staff. Teachers have been carefully selected after considering their qualifications, previous teaching experience and personalities. The school is a member of AEDAV (Asociación de Agencias de Viajes de la Costa del Sol) and the founding member of AEEA (Asociación de Escuelas de Español en Andalusia).

  • 13 to 15 years old students: Full supervision. Participants will NOT be allowed to go out in the evening except when an evening activity is organized by the school and coordinators.
  • 16 to 17 years old students: Participants are allowed out alone in the evening. Parents should agree with the school curfew by signing our authorization from and send it to us before the student's arrival to
Activities & Excursions

There are a number of both social and cultural activities included in the program. The activities are designed to engage the student in the Spanish culture, and to help ensure that they enjoy there program. The activities also give students a chance to meet with other teens from around the world, and practice their Spanish in a friendly, fun environment. The excursions give the student a chance to see Spain, and provide an excellent opportunity to explore the local region and its attractions. It also gives students a chance to practice their Spanish outside of the classroom.

Every Saturday students will attend a chaperoned full day excursion to areas of interest around Benalmadena. Past excursion have included trips to Granada, Sevilla, Cordoba, and Ronda. When the students are on the excursion all entrance fees are paid for them, and they will be provided a bag lunch from their host family.

Admissions & Academic Credit

Students enrolled in the Easter or Summer Teen Programs must be between the ages of 14 and 17. No previous knowledge of Spanish is required except where otherwise indicated.

Students desiring credit for their study should contact their home school or request the NRCSA Credit Fact Sheet. Generally, U.S. Universities consider 15 hours of study to be equal to 1 semester credit. Students interested in credit will be required to write an assessment test and an Attendance Diploma will be given at the end of the course
