International Teen Camp | Schmoeckwitz, Germany


Program Overview

Classes are held at the private Teikyo University on Lake Zeuthen, just outside the village of Schmöckwitz (partif the Berlin district Köpenick). The Center has a fireplace lounge for students to meet and socialize with one another, a fitness center, a volleyball court, and various other sports facilities.

The Morning German Language Classes Consist Of:

  • 15 lessons (Each lesson is 45 minutes), Monday through Friday
  • Group classes with a max of 12 students per class (Average 8)
  • Classes are taught using an immersion methodology
  • 4 levels: beginners, elementary, intermediate, advanced
  • All course materials are included
  • Internationally Mixed Classes, with students from Mexico, Poland, Spain, France, Bulgaria, Denmark, Russia, Norway, England, France, Italy, Greece, Portugal, the US, and any many other countries.
Students will receive a well balanced program. It  focuses on both the learning of the German language, and helping students make new friends from around the world.

Daily Activities

Individuals attending the camp have a variety of activities that they can engage in during the afternoons. Some of the activities that students participate in include:
  • Swimming
  • Cycling
  • Dancing
  • Singing
  • Theater
  • Photography Workshops
  • Camp Newspapers
  • Disco Parties
Optionally, for those students really keen on sports, they can participate in the  multi-sport program. Which includes:
  • Sailing
  • Tennis
  • Other Organized Sports Activities
The activities gives students the perfect chance to interact in international groups. Allowing them to learn about the cultures of different students from around the world, all while practicing their German.

Bi-Weekly Excursions

In addition to all of the daily activities that students participate in, there are two organized excursions every week. This helps the students to use their German in the public settings, and really get and understanding of the German culture. All excursions are chaperoned, and often include visits to:
  • Berlin district of Koepenick
  • The City Center
  • Potsdamer Platz
  • Reichstag
  • Brandenburger Tor
  • And Many More
